What Is It

Preventing Infiltration and Strengthening System Integrity

Joint Seals and QuickLocks are specialized mechanical repair bands designed to resolve infiltration and structural problems in Sanitary Sewer and Storm Water systems. These repairs use robust stainless steel bands paired with a rubber sleeve to form a watertight seal. When applied, they prevent leaks, restore structural stability in areas with cracks or fractures, and prolong the system’s lifespan.

Applications include:
– Municipal sewage lines
– Well and potable water piping systems
– Leaking or offset joints
– Root intrusion
– Holes, longitudinal, and circumferential cracks
– Abandoned laterals
– Restoring pipe structural integrity before lining

*Mechanical Joint Seals and QuickLocks are a DOT-approved repair method.

Our Process

The Joint Seals & Quicklocks Process

Structural seal repair recommendations depend on pipeline size. QuickLocks are ideal for pipelines up to 24” in diameter due to their straightforward installation and accessibility. For pipelines 30” and larger, Joint Seals are recommended for structural repairs.

Installation involves inserting the sleeve into the pipeline and positioning it over the damaged area. QuickLocks are guided through the line by attaching them to a trolley mounted on a pipe inspection crawler. An inflatable packer then expands the QuickLock, locking it permanently in place.

Both Joint Seals and QuickLocks require no chemicals or curing time and do not involve temporarily blocking the system, enabling rapid installation with minimal service disruption.
