Hydro Excavation & Utility Potholing in Central Florida

Hydro excavation, vacuum excavation and utility potholing for contractors and infrastructure owners in Orlando and Central Florida. Tell us where you need utilities exposed, the planned work and your schedule.

What Is It

Controlled excavation around existing utilities

Hydro excavation uses pressurized water to loosen soil and a vacuum to collect the resulting material. Potholing, also called daylighting, exposes selected points so the project team can observe a utility's position before continuing work. Discuss the utility type, expected depth, surface conditions and access with ProVac when requesting a quote. Exposure work supports project coordination; it does not replace required utility notifications, locating procedures or the project team's safety controls.

Our Process

From marked exposure points to coordinated field work

Share a plan or sketch identifying the exposure points, site address and requested schedule. We review access, utility information, work limits, water availability and material handling with your team. The field scope should establish what is to be exposed, what information is to be recorded and who is responsible for backfill and restoration.

Benefits

Useful for utility conflicts and construction planning

Targeted exposure can limit the excavation footprint and give contractors better information about underground conflicts. The appropriate method and operating conditions depend on the utility and site. Hydro excavation reduces certain risks associated with mechanical excavation but does not eliminate the possibility of damage.
